Welcome to Crete!
Arrive at Heraklion International Airport , where you will be met by your private assistant and transferred to your hotel. After time to settle in, enjoy a relaxed welcome dinner at a local restaurant, located within walking distance of the hotel. This first evening offers a gentle introduction to Cretan flavours and hospitality, setting the tone for the journey ahead.
Knossos Palace, Olive Oil Tasting & Heraklion City
After breakfast, meet your licensed guide and travel to the legendary Palace of Knossos, centre of the ancient Minoan civilisation. During a guided visit, uncover the myths of King Minos and the Minotaur while exploring one of Europe’s oldest cities.
Continue to an olive oil tasting experience, where you will sample a variety of high-quality Cretan olive oils and learn about their production and significance in local life.
Later, enjoy a guided walking tour of Heraklion city, visiting the vibrant market, local shops and key landmarks including the Venetian Port, the impressive Koules Fortress, St Titus Cathedral and the elegant Loggia, a fine example of Venetian architecture. Lunch is enjoyed during the tour, followed by a free afternoon at leisure.
Armeni Cemetery & Amari Valley
After breakfast, depart for a day of discovery through rural Crete. Begin with a visit to the Minoan cemetery of Armeni, followed by visits to two scenic Byzantine monuments, offering insight into the island’s spiritual and historical continuity.
Continue into the beautiful Amari Valley, a fertile oasis set against sweeping views of Mount Psiloritis. Rich in culture, tradition and village life, the area reflects the enduring soul of Crete.
The day concludes with visits to a traditional mansion and a local taverna, where you will enjoy authentic Cretan cuisine prepared with home-grown vegetables and cooked in a wood-fired oven. Simple, pure recipes and warm hospitality make this a memorable cultural experience.
Free Day to Enjoy Crete
Today is free to enjoy Crete at your own pace. Whether you choose to relax, explore independently, visit museums, enjoy the coastline or simply unwind, this day allows space for personal discovery.
Food tasting & Rethymno City Tour
Travel to Rethymno, where a guided culinary walking tour introduces you to the city’s layered history and vibrant food culture. Following pathways shaped by Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Venetians, Ottomans and Greeks from Asia Minor, you will sample traditional delicacies from local food shops while exploring the old town.
Along the way, discover landmarks such as Porta Guora, the Loggia, Rimondi Fountain, Church of St Francis, Nerantze Mosque and more, before finishing at Rethymno’s iconic lighthouse. This experience blends storytelling, architecture and flavour into one immersive journey.
Free Day to Explore Crete
A second free day allows you to slow the pace and enjoy the island as you wish. Relax by the sea, explore nearby towns, or revisit favourite spots from earlier in the week.
Mirabello Bay Sunset Cruise
Enjoy a free morning before transferring in the early afternoon to the port of Agios Nikolaos. From here, begin a memorable golden hour sailing experience through the stunning waters of Mirabello Bay.
Sail past Spinalonga, admiring its Venetian fortress from the sea, before continuing to the unspoilt beauty of Kolokitha. Anchor to swim, snorkel, SUP or simply relax on board. Snacks and wine are served as the sun begins to set, casting warm light across the coastline during the scenic return sail.
