Day 1

Welcome to Portugal!

You arrive at Porto Airport, where you are met and transferred by private tourist coach to your hotel. After your journey, the afternoon is left free, giving you time to settle in, relax, or begin discovering Porto at your own pace. You may choose to wander along the riverfront, explore nearby cafés, or simply enjoy your surroundings. In the evening, you come together for a welcome dinner at a traditional Portuguese restaurant, offering your first taste of local cuisine and an introduction to the journey ahead

Day 2

Historic Porto and Catamaran Cruise

Today begins with a guided walking tour through Porto’s historic city centre, where you explore its winding streets, iconic architecture and rich maritime heritage. As you walk, you gain insight into the city’s past and present, discovering the character that has made Porto one of Portugal’s most distinctive destinations. Lunch is a traditional Francesinha, Porto’s famous sandwich filled with assorted meats, topped with melted cheese and finished with a slightly spicy sauce.

In the afternoon, you transfer to Cais da Afurada, where you board a private catamaran for a relaxed cruise along the river. A welcome drink on board is included, allowing you to enjoy the scenery from the water and see the city from a different perspective. After the cruise, you return to the hotel, with the rest of the evening free to enjoy Porto at your leisure.

Day 3

Adventure in Geres National Park

You depart Porto for a full-day adventure in Peneda-Gerês National Park, Portugal’s only national park and one of its most unspoilt natural regions. The day includes a kayaking experience on the park’s tranquil waters, offering a peaceful way to connect with the surrounding landscape. Lunch is provided at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, the adventure continues with a one-hour horseback riding experience through some of the park’s most magical and scenic areas. Surrounded by forests, rivers and mountain scenery, this experience highlights the wild beauty of Gerês. At the end of the day, you return to Porto, where the evening is free to relax or explore further.

Day 4

Duoro Valley Adventure

Today you travel into the heart of the Douro Valley, one of Portugal’s most celebrated wine regions. The experience begins with a two hour buggy tour, allowing you to explore the landscape in an exciting and immersive way. Please note that a change of clothes is recommended. You enjoy a regional lunch at a traditional Douro restaurant, included, before continuing with a visit and tasting of local products. This includes table wine, Port wine, honey and olive oil, offering a true taste of the region’s agricultural traditions.

The day concludes with a one-hour Rabelo boat ride in Pinhão, drifting along the Douro River and taking in the terraced vineyards from the water. After the excursion, you return to Porto, with the evening free.

Day 5

Arouca & Paiva Walkways to Ericeira

After checking out from your hotel in Porto, you depart for Arouca, an area known for its dramatic landscapes and outdoor experiences. The day includes crossing the impressive 516 Arouca suspension bridge, followed by a 4 km hike along the Paiva Walkways, where wooden pathways guide you through striking river scenery and rugged terrain. You then take part in a jeep tour through the Arouca mountains, included, offering further insight into the region’s natural beauty. Lunch features Arouquesa beef, a certified local meat, paired with traditional vinho verde wine.

After lunch, you continue your journey south to Ericeira, where you check in and settle into your coastal surroundings.

Day 6

Surf Experience in Ericeira

Today is centred around Ericeira’s relaxed coastal lifestyle. You take part in a group surf lesson lasting two hours, making use of the area’s renowned surf conditions. Whether it’s your first time on a board or you’re building confidence in the water, the experience offers a fun and active way to connect with the Atlantic coast.

The remainder of the day is free, allowing you to enjoy the beach, explore the town, or simply relax by the ocean.

Day 7

Wine Experience

Today you will visit a local wine estate for a tasting experience, where you sample regional wines and enjoy a picnic lunch. The setting provides a relaxed and scenic backdrop for the final full day of the journey. After the visit, you return to the hotel and have time to rest or enjoy Ericeira at your own pace.

In the evening, you gather for a farewell dinner, bringing the journey to a close and offering a final opportunity to reflect on the experiences shared throughout the week.

Day 8

Goodbye Portugal…

After checking out from the hotel, you are transferred by bus to Lisbon Airport for your onward departure.

Throughout the journey, you stay in carefully selected 4 star accommodation , chosen for comfort, quality and location. In Porto, your hotel is centrally located, providing easy access to the historic city centre and allowing you to relax after full days of sightseeing and guided experiences. Along the Atlantic coast in Ericeira, your accommodation is a 4 star coastal hotel , ideally suited to the relaxed rhythm of the seaside. Here, you enjoy a more laid-back atmosphere, perfectly matched to the surf and beach-focused experiences of the final part of the journey. Accommodation is provided in double or single rooms, with daily breakfast included throughout the tour.

Airport transfers

Our Transfers are arranged as follows from Porto Airport (OPO) and to Lisbon Airport (LIS).

On departure, the tour bus will be expected to arrive at Lisbon Airport at aproximately 14:00 (2:00PM).

You are welcome to arrive and leave on any flight, but please note that our transfers operate according to this schedule. Depending on your flight times, there may be a short wait at the airport until the tour bus departs, and on your return leg, please check your return flight is suitable for the above transfers.

To ensure a relaxed and seamless start to the tour, we recommend arriving in Porto by midday.
