Your itinerary

A carefully paced journey with time to wander, taste and discover.

1
Day 1

– Arrival (Málaga to Granada)

– Arrival (Málaga to Granada). You arrive into Malaga and transfer to Granada, settling into the city’s atmosphere from the outset. A gentle guided walk introduces Granada through quieter streets, riverside paths and local neighbourhoods, an easy first immersion into daily life and the city’s layered past, before a relaxed welcome evening sets the tone for the week ahead.

2
Day 2

– Moclín & El Gollizno Trail

– Moclín & El Gollizno Trail. Today delivers one of the region’s most memorable hikes: the El Gollizno Trail near Moclín, threading through narrow gorges, hanging bridges, wooden walkways and striking rock formations, plus prehistoric cave-art context that adds real meaning to the scenery. After lunch, you explore Moclín’s hilltop fortress, once a key stronghold on the Nasrid frontier.

3
Day 3

– Sierra de Huetor by mountain bike

– Sierra de Huetor by mountain bike. You head into the lesser-known Sierra de Huetor Natural Park , riding forest tracks and natural trails through pine woods, limestone ridges and open valleys. The route is adapted to the group’s ability, keeping it accessible while still feeling like genuine exploration, with a scenic pause for a relaxed picnic before returning to Granada with the evening free.

4
Day 4

– Cubillas Reservoir (kayak + paddle board)

– Cubillas Reservoir (kayak + paddle board). A refreshing change of pace brings you to the calm waters of Cubillas Reservoir , where a guided session in kayaking and paddle boarding focuses on balance, flow and enjoyment rather than speed. The afternoon stays intentionally unhurried, time to swim, relax, or simply enjoy the natural setting, before returning to Granada for an easy evening.

5
Day 5

– Vega de Granada (horse riding + rural life)

– Vega de Granada (horse riding + rural life). You ride through the fertile Vega de Granada and the Sierra Nevada foothills on a guided horseback experience designed to be welcoming even for first-time riders. After lunch, you visit a small local producer or artisan workshop, often linked to traditions like olive oil, cheese or handcrafted goods, adding a grounded, human layer to the countryside you’ve been moving through.

6
Day 6

– Pinar Caves, Guadix and Vertijana Winery

– Pinar Caves, Guadix and Vertijana Winery. This is a brilliant “geology meets culture” day. You begin at the Cueva de las Ventanas in Pinar, an impressive cave system that reveals millions of years of natural history, then continue to Guadix to walk through cave-dwelling neighbourhoods where troglodyte life is still lived today. The day finishes with a guided visit and tasting at Vertijana Winery , sampling high-altitude wines as the landscape turns golden toward sunset.

7
Day 7

– Sierra Nevada high-mountain hiking

– Sierra Nevada high-mountain hiking. The final active day takes place in Sierra Nevada National Park , hiking panoramic trails through alpine meadows and high-mountain landscapes with a qualified mountain guide. Routes are chosen to match the group’s energy and interests, combining a satisfying sense of achievement with quieter, reflective moments in one of southern Europe’s most striking natural environments, before a farewell evening in Granada.
